United Methodist Homes is currently hiring a full-time Staff Development Education Assistant 

What will I do?

  • Assist with the clerical responsibilities for the RN Staff Development Coordinator/Employee Health role, which include but are not limited to, assigning and tracking education modules in the on-line education system, Employee Health record keeping, live education tracking and other clerical duties as assigned.
  • Assists staff in learning center with their on-line education system login and passwords.
  • Present prepared education to staff members both in a classroom and unit-based setting as allowed by scope of practice.
  • Assist Employee Health with vaccination administration as allowed by scope of practice, including recording keeping and coordination of other campus health events.  
  • Ensures proper maintenance of certification records.
  • Assists with scheduling classes according to recruitment needs, as directed by the RN Staff Development Coordinator/Employee Health.
  • Assist in monitoring staff education requirements for regulatory compliance.
  • Must understand and follow all HIPAA Guidelines.
  • Follows scope of practice guidelines.
  • Completes competency evaluations for clinical staff within scope of practice.  
  • Assists in scheduling competency evaluations for all non-clinical staff as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What do I need for this role?

  • Two years' experience in long-term care, adult care facility, or senior living
  • Knowledge of long-term care regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and general computer skills
